This is a slice of a short story I wrote in 2018, named Threads of Time. Right at the beginning of my writing journey. It’s plenty raw and dated, but I’ve only edited it slightly to read a little better.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this idea of creatively coasting, particularly within the arena I’m active in–writing.
Can an author end up coasting? Why would they coast? What does that look like?
